How is John McCain's "Jed Clampet"-energy policy going to solve our addiction to oil? - gulf war wreck for sale

I'm confused.

We - as Americans consume - 20 million barrels per day - and here we have a Republican presidential candidate, touting his "drill now!" Map of oil - directly from a platform in the Gulf region, the * only * 10,000 barrels of oil per day produced what outrageous statements that it is somehow "liberated" the burden of our mistakes, we liters of oil.

(Curiously, he never mentioned that oil prices have fallen in recent weeks. How is it that I wonder?)

The math is not good for you? Because we are so frighteningly short here to 19,90 million barrels - if what McCain tried to sell the American public as our single "Savior" of the independence of the oil: drilling.

Why can not understand why his followers, the futility of these efforts - if the numbers look on your face?

This account is not an energy policy for all standards. Help us, certainly not in the short or long term.

We must certainly not enough oil for all - to meet the high demands of a country that consumes much of everything!

We will continue to destroy dependent on foreign suppliers of time after the release of our own reserves and the environment.

And then what? Are we at war with the former allies of the decline of their reserves next? Or should we continue to resist a change in our lifestyle is responsible, while we still had the chance?
